Did any of you know that travel agents and writers are bundled into the same job family? Anyone? Please raise your hands…. Now why didn’t anyone share this with me sooner?
My whole adult life I’ve wandered the globe with my journal fused to one hand and my passport fused to the other and I’m only just learning there is a proven connection between my two passions??
I just took a career assessment through the outplacement support program. I answered hundreds and hundreds of questions that poked, prodded and analyzed my word loving, globetrekking brain. It then categorizes my answers into 30 different job families, such as scientist, employee relations, intangible sales, numerical administration, etc. Where do I rank highest? ‘Artistic Careers’ What are the jobs they tell me to pursue?
Visual arts. Acting. Writer/Editor. Travel Agent…
Hmmmm….. they might be on to something!!
